Our understanding is that the committee will create a lot of confusion and disarray with the budget by making Parks, Management, Administration and Communications and Education one time only and zero based. For our purposes, that means that over 1/2 of FWP's budget will be decided on the whims of politicians, rather than by the agency. We're still exploring what this means in terms of diversion of federal funds and how it will impact hunters & anglers.
This is shaping up to be one of the bigger fights of the session. We get wrapped around the axle of shooting from a vehicle or blaze pink while the budget whisperers attack the foundation of the agency we try to keep whole.
