Altitude sickness can be dangerous, even deadly, so don't go climbing up to 11,000 ft. right away. Some are more susceptible to it than others, but it would behoove you to Google it and become familiar with the warning signs.

Never made it to the North. Traveled around for a couple of weeks in about ten of the Southernmost counties but never made it across the frontier; maybe get to go again ere I fall off my perch. Some beautiful country! Only place I've ever been where the rocks grow up through the road pavement.

I have not been up there like tarhill I have toured most of the south but the north is on my list. I wish you well on your hunt, keep us posted.
