Wyoming cow hunt for NR

My buddy and I are looking to head to Wyoming to hopefully shoot a couple cows. We're coming from the UP of Michigan, so hoping to stay in the northern/eastern part of the state. Wondering what are good units to apply for the type 6 tag. I'm clueless as to the process, so any info is appreciated.

Good place to start is Wyoming fish and game website. Select elk from the species menu and there you can find success rates for units as well as look at draw odds from the prior year to see what units had left over tags since the draw deadline has past
