I'm packing the same and am very happy. I do occasionally pack a buck mini alpha and a german made knife of my grandpas.
The DD edges hold up a very long time. They also cut more similar to a non-serrated blade than other serated designs IMO. I about lost a knuckle to one when dad was using me as the squirrel gambrel. The DD went through the leg much faster than he was used to. My finger was the backstop...

I use a set of Camillus knives that I got as a gift and they've been by far the best skinning knives I've used

FWIW I carry a Gerber Vital and a $20 Bear and Son's fixed blade skinner that holds an edge better than my other knives. Fingers crossed they'll have the Benchmade raffle at the BHA Rendezvous again. I totally missed out on that one and saw a few of them make short work of a moose this fall.

Look at the Buck 277. Its a drop point folder. Buck's steel is specially heat treated by Paul Bos, the best man for heat treating knives in the US. GJ
