I was fortunate enough to harvest my first wild pig this week. The shot was at 140 yards, I was using a 7mm Rem Mag with a 135 grain Cutting Edge Bullet Copper Raptor behind 68.0 grains of H4831SC 3.39 C.O.A.L.Entry Hole.jpgpig rib crop.PNGruss pig exit location.jpg

Not bad, I like to shoot them in the head! No meat wasted. Still you got your first! Congrats!

I have used the 135 grain CEB Copper Raptor on a mule deer at 257 yards with great results this season also. The deer was walking downhill and slightly quartered towards me. The bullet entered the lower neck and exited middle of the opposite shoulder. He dropped dead at the shot.

Also harvested a mule deer doe at 63 yards with the Muzzleloader Copper Raptor in 160 grain. https://cuttingedgebullets.com/500-160gr-mzl-raptor

I have been doing some testing with Cavity Back Bullets. First impressions are they might be my to-go bullet for next season. http://www.cavitybackbullets.com/category-s/103.htm

Private land with little history of pigs being on the property. 100% just being at the right place at the right time.
