Teeth on European

Any tips on getting the teeth clean? Do they look all right without the teeth?

I just soak the whole skull in 35% peroxide which gets the teeth about as clean as they will get. You just need to be careful not to lose any that might fall out. The peroxide definitely loosens them up. I just run a bead of Elmers glue along the inside of the teeth once they dry out.

I wouldn't care for one with no teeth in it.

They never turn out pearly white, especially in older animals because the tartar build up and worn surfaces hold on to color. But once the skull is bleached, they do lighten up about the same as the bone. There will still be some staining, but it isn't really noticeable up on the wall. I think missing teeth might be more distracting or noticeable than slightly stained teeth. To me, some of that coloration is what gives the mount it's authentic feel.
