NM Javelina

Anyone have any experience hunting javelina north of Silver City, NM (GMU 16)? My daughter and I have tags for the middle of January. A guy I work with has a deer tag in GMU 16 in a couple weeks so he will do some scouting for me. I've never hunted them before so any tips and pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

There are a ton of them up there... i just completed a cow elk hunt early December in 16D and they are all over digging up. Also seen a few good sized groups of Javelina in and around the Gila Hotsprings valley area where my wife's family lives. Contact Becky Campbell at Gila Hotsprings Ranch @ 575-536-9314 for some possible areas and information. She has lived and guided the Gila Wilderness her entire life along with her siblings and their father before them.
