A friend found out he will be moving to Maine, which obviously has us interested in any hunting opportunities up that way. I know New Brunswick and Nova Scotia are close to him but don’t know anything about Canada, much less hunting in Canada. With him being in driving distance, hunting up there would make getting meat home or pre-hunt scouting a lot easier. We would prefer to do semi guided or self guided style hunts and dont have deep pockets for high dollar hunts. We are really hoping for some backpacking/backcountry hunts. Can anyone give us a little direction? Are there public land opportunities in Canada in areas within 12hrs of Maine? Thanks for any advice!
