So a young buck was giving me grief the other day about the size of my bou on the wall and I fed him my "should see the one that got away" line. He scoffed at that so I dug out my moldy albums and digitalized my "proof"
For those of you who know caribou, specifically Q/L, is he as big as my missing makes him seem to my mind? I can still see the arrow skimming his brisket at 50 yards like it was yesterday!
I played with him and his bachelor herd for 1/2 a day before losing my cool and trying the long shot which of course I shouldn't have tried. Got as close as 40 with his buddies at 10 blocking any closer approach.
Here he is at 40... didn't like the angle.
After the shot, busted!
