My first buck, first mountain/solo/backpack hunt. Just a crab claw but he filled my freezer and family's bellies!

Deer have always been the one that got away for me. Finally had it happen this year. Utah general archery hunt 2016 on public land. Took 11 years of hunting to get to this. First deer, first big game animal with my bow. To top it all off, my best friend arrowed another nice four point for his first buck and animal with a bow. We could not ask for a better year.

My friend Dennis McCarthy with his 2016 NV 195 buck. First hunt ever and scored on this giant!

Dennis is slowly figuring out what he's accomplished. I'm just glad that he listened to my advice and pulled that trigger without really knowing what the buck even looked like. Good job buddy!!
 
Not a buck, but still a trophy in my eyes. Go her 40 min into my first sit of the year. Didn't go more than 50 yards from the shot.
