I'm headed over to unit 310 to scout and set up a trail cam this week in order to prep for the archery elk season. Since you live in the area, do happen to know if I should start up high in the rocks, or stay in the thicker tree cover? Also, should I prepare for early deer during this Sept elk hunt, or should I wait till the rut?
