    Anyone have any tips/advise on Montana Bear Unit #240 "Selway-Bitteroot". I'm looking to hike well off the beaten path to avoid others, does this unit offer good spot and stalk areas? How for should I plan on hiking off the main trail to avoid others? Thanks,

  4. New To The Hunt

    So, as the title says. I'm just starting to dip my toes into the hunting scene. I've always really wanted to hunt but my father never taught me how. Now that I'm a father I want to teach my son how to hunt. And well I've got to teach myself or have somebody else teach me how to hunt.

    Now that's what I've got to do. I've got to figure out a way to figure out how hunting works, all the rules and regulations and everything that goes with this responsibility.

  5. Waisting time with Garmin

    What a freakin waist. My last GPS fell out of my pack during spring bear. I decided to upgrade with the Garmin Montana 610t. It comes with roads, but no topo. BUT, they offer a free 1 year subscription to download topo maps off of their data base.
    I received the gps on Wednesday and put off dealing with it until last night. Should be a cake walk... BULLSHIT! Was up until 10 just trying to get my computer set up and finally gave up on downloading the maps to the gps. I woke up late ...
