Walmart has the NAP Nighthawk on clearance for about 25 dollars if you can still find one. I haven't used mine yet, but it seems like a good budget option.

Looks like a great drop way but for my boys first go around I figured something cheaper. Thanks for the offer. I'm gonna have to pass.

You get what you pay for.... Just because he's 'just getting started' doesn't mean he shouldn't have quality equipment

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. My boy is 14 and just starting to buy his own stuff. He has saved his money to buy a new Hoyt bow and is now trying to get the rest of the stuff for his bow. He doesn't have a job so the chores he does helps him earn money. To me right now it's about getting him out to hunt and enjoy what I enjoy.

I was able to pick up the rest of what he needed this morning other than arrows.

Thanks again for the suggestions and offers.

to the OP, I have a QAD ultra hunter that I don't need if your son is interested in it, he is welcome to it. I'd gladly ship it to him to get his bow ready for him. Shoot me a pm if so, and I will get it in the mail.
