Care of mounts

I have never been fortunate enough to take any animal worthy of mounting.

I am hoping to change that this year. I see all of the very nice and beautiful mounts here and wonder if there is any special care needed once the mount is finished and in its final resting place?

I just dust mine off with a soft brissel brush. I only use the brush for that purpose so it doesn't pick up contaminants that could transfer to the mount. There are also some special products on the market for that but I haven't used them

Yep dust them of with a beard brush then wipe them down with a clean warm damp cloth with water.Just follow the way the fur lays.The glass eys can be cleaned with a lens cleaner.

basic simple care, use the duster from Scheel's for basic cleaning and use monster cleaner for the eyes. try to touch it only when needed.
