Sent in my vote to strict of course. But, look at the way the poll is worded? It does not give a choice of "Gun Laws at present should not be changed" This might skew the voting some?
 
I'm actually surprised that it's only 76% for more gun control as the poll is in a pro gun control article published by a New York newspaper. A scientific poll conducted outside of the northeast would likely show overwhelming support for the second amendment.
