Tent Frame Question....

Bought my first wall tent (10'x12'x5' wall) and I am cutting the frame members now. Wondering if it is standard practice to use sleeves or couplings, one per section (saves money on 1" EMT tubing)? AND if that is okay should it be done on the horizontals or the rafter members?

Thanks for the feedback:D

Grats on the tent purchase - They sure make hunting more comfortable - least for myself.
I fabricated a set of 3/4" EMT pipe joints. Wrapped the weld locations with duct tape to keep any edges from harming the fabric. With the 3/4, the 1" slide right over them about 4-5". Has worked great and been in a variety of conditions. Using 9 joints to complete the internal frame.

(side note: placed an eye bolt within the center top joint to hang a lantern.)

Good luck with your frame - beats the heck out of spending $$$ simply for a frame.
