DiamondBlade Knives

You can get a custom knife from Gene Ingram for a lot less with either D2 or
S30V steel. I have a production Buck knife with S30V and am mucho impressed with its ability to hold an edge. Mine went through 2 pronghorn, 1 deer, 1 mtn goat, and various portions of 3 elk before I decided to resharpen it.

Then don't look for a custom knife or at least know where you left the one you used the previous year.

Yeh, looks like Ingram has some nice knives, but ordering today will get you a knife sometime between '10 and '11. holy shite.....

Heck, you wouldn't need a new one if you could find the one you 'had'... ;)

I've only handled one Ingram in person and it was nice, but I'm not convinced that the price is justified for me over what you can get in a production knife.

I've been using a $25 fixed CRKT guthook/skinner for about 10 years. It sharpens easily & I couldn't lose if I tried...& I've tried. My Puma, Sog, & SwampRat sit in the safe.

Um, why would you want to hook a gut?
A few years back I watched a guy use his CRKT KISS to trim an opening that they had cut into the side of a 747 fuselage( to covert to a freighter), it held up surprisingly well:D
