I drew a tag I didn't really expect to draw this year and so didn't get to put much time into scouting. In fact, it was a private land only tag and I finally got around to asking for hunting permission on a couple of places yesterday.:D  I drove around all day yesterday hoping to find something good.

Some potential, if not for the goofy horn:

A deer I saw in the evening. Sensing a pattern here?

The last antelope I looked at last night appeared to have decent prongs and mass below them, but pencil-horned above. I thought he had a cool shape though, so decided to try for him this morning. I got up early this morning to beat the convoy of hunters heading out there, found him in exactly the same spot and made a 10 minute stalk. Had him caped, quartered and packed back to the truck by 8:30. Unfortunately I had forgotten to recharge my extra camera battery, so I only ended up with these two crappy photos before it conked out. Why don't you antelope judges throw out some brutally honest score guesses. Don't be nice.;)
