We had a good opening weekend in the ND Badlands. My father-in-law, a good friend, and I all filled our antelope bow tags with bucks. They were all taken by spot and stalk. The big one goes 15 1/4 and 15 1/8. I found him before season and watched him couple of times. The shots were 10, 35, and 38 yards. The last picture is of the big buck in the middle of July. My friend killed him about 100 yards from where this picture was taken. Of course, I killed the dink!! I made the best shot of the weekend though. I had a tough angle, but manged to drill him when he was bedded.

The deer activity was a little slow. The weather was in the 90's everyday and there was a full moon. I think that may have contributed to fewer sightings. I passed on three nice, but average, mulie bucks and saw a few shooters I couldn't get close to. The weather has cooled down considerably now and we are going out for another five days starting Sept. 13.

Good luck to everyone this season.
