Great war movie. It tells the Iwo Jima story pretty good. I actually learned a few things that I had not known. (Funny my kids knew since they had watched a History Channel story before)

I can't wait to watch the Japanese side of the story.

Caught it at the $2 theatre a couple weeks ago. Good movie...the book is much better (as per usual).

I just got done with the book. I agree.

Both are worth having on the shelf.

Made the mistake of taking a girl to that one. Great movie, too bad it was gory for the lady.

I dind't care for it.
OK in the educational department, but not much for entertainment.

"Letters" is in sub-titles so it that drives you nuts you might want to pass. Otherwise it is a pretty good movie, a little gory and a bit of a downer but the storyline is good.
