Is anyone familiar with Wyoming unit 27? The Thunder Basin National Grassland occupies most of the area so it looks like good public access.

Is there a strong pronghorn population?
Is there much hunting pressure?
What about whitetails?

Any recon would be be apreciated.

KC,

Wish I could help you out. Love hunting goats but thats on the opposite corner of the state from me and never really have spent any time there.

Have hunted the north block of the grasslands for muleys, near Weston three times. We always got a few deer, but it wasn't easy, and quality wasn't great.

That area is pretty overrun with hunters and four wheelers. Hard to get away from them.

Paid to get on some private ground this fall, and five of us killed five nice goats and five nice deer. Well worth the cost.
