well I took my boys out for a day of blacktail and pig(if we ran into one--doesn't always happen)--after spooking some cows which ran about 500yds they spooked out a buck and 2 does--the does ran off and the buck stood there--at 275 yds a blacktail is pretty small--I rushed my shot and shot right over him--dern crosshairs black 'em out at that distance also--but I still should've got him if I would've of taken my time--I figured he'd run after the does any second---well we go check down into a ravine and back up to see if there's any blood just in case, but nothing to be found, so we continue hunting upslope---of course a 5 yr old can't keep quiet for more than 2 minutes, so there was repeated offerings of advice to keep his trap shut ---we move on and I spot a doe and after pointing it out to the boys it slowly walks down into another ravine--we continue up and bingo there's the pig--and here's the result---
