Just a few more days till doves open up here. I usually cut into smaller peices and fry em, then add it to some fried rice I get to go from the chineese joint. Pretty good. But I'm looking for something new. Does anybody have any other cooking suggestions? :D

Flytier, we used to bake them kind of like chicken breasts, except we browned them first in a skillet. Not too shabby.

You can find a recipe similar to ours, and a few others (Owyhee County Doves!) at http://www.justgamerecipes.com/dove/index.shtml .

Flytier, Take your breasts(Dove that is LOL!). Put a jalapeno pepper in the middle and wrap them with bacon and roast them in the oven or grill em! They're great!

One year my for Christmas dinner my father in law wrapped dove in bacon and grilled it. OH MY GOSH talk about yummy

I would have fed them to my dogs too except I always gave them to my neighbors. Then I tried wrapping it with bacon and grilling it. That is really good.
