I know I'm probably not telling anyone anything new, but just a reminder that when you change components in a previously "tried and true" load, to back off and work up to the previous level. I went from a Nolser Partition to a Hornady Interlock (all other factors the same, except perhaps a different can of IMR-7828) and experienced pierced and/or blown primers. :( The sad part is that I got a .653 group with the load. (I didn't check the brass until I had shot the group.)

CH, Good suggestion. Anytime you change anything in the recipe, the flavor of the cake will change. Always a good idea to start with small bites.

The hornady bullet has a much longer bearing surface and much shorter ogive. Probably why the pressue rise.
