Ken,in my limited baitin experiences,maggots are an attractant rather than a turnoff.They are just about pure protein.

KEn.. I concur w/ maineiac. I know that we've put out bait and the Bears like the Magots in the meat. Grant it, They like the Donuts better it seems like, But the MAggots get eaten too.....

Bears just aren't that picky, as long as it smells like something they want for a snack. The maggots won't hurt anything. The bears like them too.
