Remington Bolt

I have a couple Remington 700 series RR stainless bolts that I want to send out to have the handles reposition for better extraction. In the event that they are late getting back is there any reason that a different bolt couldn't be used in one of the rifles? I have a 3rd rifle series RR that's had the bolt handle moved, but when the smith barreled them I don't know how tight of a fit there was for each. I guess as long as the bolt closes all should be ok. I'll be using registered mail to make sure they don't get lost.

If you're sending them to accutig you'll get them back quickly.
I wouldn't swap bolts without checking headspace.

I don't know about hand fitting but their machining setups were a bit sloppy. I've seen more than a few r700s that the front face of the action was a rough bandsaw cut.
