Quail in Montana….

Wouldn’t mind seeing them here in eastern Montana.

I'm sure they'll make their way east. I'd assume many of them come from released birds for dog training that survive. I bump into Bobwhite's fairly often that this is the case for at least.
 
I worked on a river bottom ranch in the Root for awhile right out if high school in 1984. We were getting them and releasing them back then. No surprise there is a ton of them around. mtmuley
 
I had about 100 of them in the backyard the other day. Neighbors might get a little anxious if I started banging away on them. The new pup was excited to see them!

They end up out here in good numbers and I’ll end up with a bird dog for sure. Probably a cocker spaniel.
