I think these are pheasant back mushrooms.

yep. They look like they might be over ripe though. If the pores on the bottom have opened up already, the edible meaty top part can be too rubbery by that point.

Tom and hen didn’t like my set-up and hung up at 60. Scored a gallon of greys though.

You were correct, the pores were open and i did the scrape test and they were too old.

Fried mushroom, mayo and ghost pepper on a oyster cracker.

Waiting on June chanterelles. I saute in butter until "squishy". They go with any protein. Freeze well after cooking as well.



Yaupon Holly makes excellent caffeinated tea year round. Leaves only; don't include the berries or you'll understand how it got it's Latin name (Ilex vomitoria).

Not plentiful, but the yellows were good size.
