So, my local gun shop has an agreement with the shooting range to be able to sell memberships for them.
I stopped by to get said membership.
While there, i happen to look at the used gun rack, and there it is...
A Ruger 77 Stainless with the Zytel stock in 270 Win.

I have been wanting one of those for years!!

Just not that chambering.

But.....

A coworker just so happens to have a Tikka T3 in 270 Win that I offered to teach him to reload for.
So the dies are supposed to arrive today.
And we picked up bullets for it yesterday.

So with bullets and dies, well I didn't have the desire to put it back.

So i put it on lay a way instead.

Multitool.

Yeah, well, i'm trying to make a hunting trip to Wyoming for a cow elk a reality this year.
I'm trying to get my coworker to go with me.
He has a 270, and no backup gun for just in case.
I was planning on taking my 7mm Weatherby and my 7mm Rem Mag for backup.

Now i can take my Weatherby and another 270 for backup.

The 140gr Ballistic Tips should do fine for elk.

My first new rifle was a Ruger model 77. That was nearly 50 years ago. It never failed me. I used it to hunt whitetails in PA and then shot elk in Colorado with it. Good solid and well made rifle.

Agh!!!!
Shipping is really killing me!!!
Yet another package lost in space!!!
Dies were supposed to be here Friday.
Now showing maybe the 12th.??

Still amazes me that in this day and age with internet and GPS, the only thing that comes up is "your package is shipped"!
