I applied for Muzzleloader deer for Colorado this morning and changed my elk app to muzzleloader. Same area as my son hunted last year archery.Muzzleloader is a longer season than first rifle and closer to the elk rut.

Points for me. Next year or the year after I'll be looking at some elk muzzy hunts. Not sure what in the world to do with my deer points.

With my points ,I should draw my deer and a good chance at drawing my elk.I put cow elk for my second choice.
Muzzleloader season is just a great time to be in the high country,even if I do not get a deer or elk.
Not to hot and not to cold but just right ! Just feel lucky to just be there .
