Hi. I can't seem to figure out how to PM or else I don't have enough posts to do that yet. I drew NM unit 6A. I'm curious about what to expect for hunter pressure, 4 wheeler pressure, road conditions, if a certain tactic works better than others, etc. Feel free to email me if you don't want...
Well done (well actually rare). The sous vide is amazing when it comes to venison. Simply set it up and walk away for a few hours then just a quick sear before you want to eat.
Some baggage handlers treat bow cases really rough. I watched mine (plastered with hunting stickers) get chucked down the oversize carousel while my wife's is an Easton bag that could pass off as a hockey bag get treated nicely. So the big question is whether you trust your case to protect...
I hold on to mine too. One of my favorite ways to cook it is in the sous vide. Throw your normal seasoning on it, a little butter, and maybe a rosemary sprig then vacuum seal it and sous vide it at 120F. After a few hours take it out and fast sear it on the cast iron. Deglase the cast iron...
A buddy and I drew 6A this year. It's only my second year elk hunting so I have lots to learn. I'm going to send you a dm with some questions about the unit.
Congrats on getting it done out there!
A buddy and I just drew 6A early archery. From what I can tell online I should expect to run in to quite a few people and have wheelers driving around where they shouldn't be. How'd you get away from the pressure?
This is only my second year elk...
