    Different primers will effect burn rate and pressures from a load that is the same in all other respects. changes in how the powder is ignited and burns can change velocity. These factors can cause accuracy to change.

    I completely understand, I have both a cow and bull tag for Northwest Colorado but not until second rifle season. I go through the same routine, checking HT throughout the day and mentally going through my gear list. I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas day to arrive.

    Factory Ammo Recommendations

    I'm using Barnes Vortex 165gn TTSX in my .300 Win Mag Tikka T3X and have been getting consistent less than 1/2" groups. It's certainly not the cheapest ammo but shoots exceptionally great.

    Brass, how many times?

    It really depends on the loads a person is using along with how the brass is cared for and handled. The more the brass is tumbled and resized the more wear it will have. High pressure loads can wear on brass a lot as well.
