I think it would be easier to convince FWP of something like this vs the current proposal . And would make most residents happy that in over crowded areas would be less NR . And NR would have at most 2 tags , a general elk and deer tag .- 8andcounting

What about a regional cap for NR only . Shitcan the come home to hunt and college and native licenses for NR . Take the 17000 NR combos - and for deer take whatever the number of deer tags and set regional caps make us NR apply for a region and if we don’t get that region then we get another...- 8andcounting

If you think about the FWP is gonna limit NR below the 17,000 cap your crazy . Too much $ . NR tag numbers ain’t changing Until they go unsold . Maybe not even then- 8andcounting

What if LE is what it’s going to take to make for healthier mule deer numbers and better quality bucks ? I’m not saying it’s the only way but I think it should get a serious look . Maybe all it would take is 5 years LE then go back to general with maybe a pick your region type deal .- 8andcounting

FWP will label this group as trophy hunters and say they just want opportunities. I think this group and their proposal needs serious consideration I think we (all people who hunt and love Montana) can still have plenty of opportunities with the proposed seasons/structure- 8andcounting

Honest question- don’t you think the same amount of mule deer bucks will get shot during an October only season ? And alot of them would be 2-3 points. Some young 4s . You might get one age class of older deer then the rest will get shot out ? Could be wrong. I think you’d be better off...- 8andcounting
