Besides all the belly aching over a possible situation, we have to remember it is a sport with rules that make it a pain in certain situations like the one being discussed. If it was just about killing then throw all the hunting rules out the window and just poison the water holes.
Kids will play with a box turtle but are afraid to mess with a snapping turtle. A box turtle equals unarmed schools with lockdown only policy. A snapping turtle equals schools with lock down policy and a few armed staffers. Can’t dumb the solution down any more than this.
I can’t logically...
I like Zinke.
And why do some people end their posts with "Cheers"??? Are you British?...If you ended with "eh" I'd think you were Canadian...but "Cheers"...got to be British.
Last time I read the constitution it was clear as to what lands the federal government is allowed to have and for what purposes. If you dig into it it might upset a bunch of people on this site. If you want public land it is up to the states. It belongs to the states. And yes I know it is not...
Based of info posted in this thread: Hammonds burn 139 acres or grass land and are ordered to pay $400000 in restitution or $2878/acre. Then South Dakota federal burn gets out of hand, burns 11000 acres of non federal land and is asked to pay 2.5 Million or $227/acre and denied. There needs...
I wonder if More federal-->less State controlled land-->anti hunter California Con. NY. NJ. Senetors etc.-->putting a stop to hunting on federal land-->bosses states around and equals less hunting and land use overall-->division of powers in government compromised-->less individual liberties
Wow there are some embarrassing posts on this thread. Not good in the site of God, your Mother, the kids or anyone for that matter. Perhaps it should be cleaned up.
I've wondered how much air pollution and heavy metals are released into the air from a forest fire vs what the power plant in Coalstrip Montana puts out.
People toting global warming to get elected are lairs.
Solar technology is cool and all but...I really like how well solar works at night when I want my lights on.
Killing babies far outweigh public land issues for me. I'm with Gerald on this. I'm sad some on here don't feel the same way...or maybe they get so caught up in "saving public land" they don't step back and look at other things.
Hunting is not popular to the US public as a whole. Hence the stink about the lion. So if we have more public land that ends up being governed by the US populous, then you can kiss hunting goodbye on public lands...not good for hunters.
I'm trying to dissect your information as openly as I can and I find a more valid theory: It is clearly TAXES. As taxes have increased over the years the mule deer population has decreased. This is a far more likely scenario than pesticide.
