This is the one thing I do need as I currently don't have a rifle. I got my brother into hunting this year and gave him my only rifle. (although I hadn't used it in a few years due to tagging out in archery). Would be nice to have a good rifle again. My fingers are crossed.
Sure do miss Montana right now. So hard not to skip out on the family and skip school to go hunting back home. Especially with the stories and pics like this.
Rat Fink is "generalizing" if you would. Most people know what he means, and I would bet you do to.
After this past couple of wars, it seems like people of getting tired of not seeing why we are there. Most of the civilian population and a lot of the military don't understand why we are there...
Urban Dictionary: dush-
When morons who can't spell try to say douche bag, they say dush bag. Although, ironically, these people could, properly, be called dush bags. The term dush bag is most commonly used in eastern Connecticut, by intermediate school children who were raised poorly by...
Thanks guys for your inputs. Still up in the air. Wife mentioned that I should just rent a helicopter and get dropped off up there. Then I wouldn't have to pack it out far if I did kill something. Not a bad idea. Never been on a helicopter before.
So I was talking with the boss (my wife) today on my trip to the Crazy Mountains this year. I told her how much I want to hunt the upper Rock Creek drainage on public land just behind the Marlboro ranch cabin, anyone ever have any issues with these guys?
As far as meals go, MREs (meals ready to eat). They come with their own heat sources that really do make your food hot. They also double for a quick warmer. While I'm eating I'll take the heating element and put it in my boots or any part of me that is cold. As far as the Crazies go, when the...
Well, I was doing pretty good with my fear until last year. Put my pack down after 2 days in the Bob and lay on a cliff edge and watch a few elk below getting ready to bed. There was a light blanket of snow on the ground. When i went back the 20 yards to my pack I found cat tracks about 10 feet...
I have the app loaded onto my Casio Gzone Commando, it's water proof. Well at least it still works after dropping it in Flathead Lake a few months ago. 4 feet of muddy water for about 5 min didn't seem to hurt it. I didn't dry it out like some say to do. just shook it and threw it into my...
What he said expect for tuck your head between your legs and kiss your butt good bye. I've heard as many have I'm sure, that it's better to get struck in the butt anyway.
I thought I was big and bad a few years ago and thought that it would be no problem going in 8 miles with no horses etc. (i even have horses). What a mistake that was. I dropped a decent bull about 7 miles from the truck. Glad it was cold out and the meat was close to freezing and I could get...
Take the bow, you never know what you'll see. If you don't and see a great buck that you could probably get to you'll be kicking yourself the rest of the trip.
