We've killed elk with both, they are the same amount of dead each way. Never had flight issues with either if arrow is heavy enough. Bad shot placement is user error not an equipment error. Done it with both, sucks the same, makes for sleepless night and harder work the next day.
Someone posted a similar topic on another forum last week to offer a break in constant gear advice. So what's your celebratory as well as medicinal libation for a successful hunt? I'm a bourbon guy so Jim or Jack usually but like Buffalo Trace, Evan 1783 and Woodford Reserve also. What's yours?

Putting in for elk pp and deer also. Not sure why I keep putting in for elk, I'll need a motorized scooter by the time I can draw a premium unit. Got enough deer points but I need to be able to hunt the whole month of archery to cash in 12 pts and that not possible this year, maybe next year...
I have seen in 10 years of hunting Colorado BLM lands the abuse by them. The BLM does nothing to stop it. I use one to travel unmaintained roads as not to destroy my truck while out there. I don't go off on trails etc though but most do.
I lived in goose creek when I was a boy, lived in Mt Pleasant till 97, moved to Atlanta. Never been to Cohutta always wanted too but found deer closers to home.
I went to Belle Fourche last year on guided archery hunt. Had a good time but didn't see as many goats as in Wyoming. I killed a decent buck, but weather was cold and rainy so that didn't help. Meat was awesome!
