Thoughts on a Bolt 22lr
My son and I both have CZ 457 Varmints in 22lr. I did have a 455 but like the 457 as much or more. They may be more than $500.00 now, but are worth it. You can swap barrel to 17Hmr or 22Mag. and that can be a plus. -

I am getting back into a set aside project, my Howa 1500 in 270 Win. I want to re-stock with a thumbhole. Boyd's and Stocky's both have thumbhole stocks but I like the Stocky's a bit more. I do not care for the cooling vents on the Boyd's and last contact with them is they will not produce it... -

Question for Legacy Sports. I have a Howa/Hoque 1500 in 270 Win. I am considering purchase of the Oryx Chassis along with 2 metal mags. I have read that there is a fitment problem with the mags against the bottom of the action. If I purchase this chassis and mags ( $600.00 +/- ) from you... -

I lived in Whatcom County for 13 yrs., miss it , loved it. I would contact WDFW and find out which areas in Eastern Wa. has the best populations of ELK. Find a tribe that is close to the area and go make friends. -

Pillar bed Howa 1500
BcGunworks, If I understand you correctly you would not pillar a laminated stock like I am wanting from Boyds, is this correct ? My action does have full bottom metal. Would you still glass bed the action. Thanks, Jerry -

Here soon I am ordering a Boyds Thumbhole stock for my 270 Howa. I want to pillar and glass bed the action. I found a kit online from Score Hi gunsmith for the Howa and that is all. Those of you that did such a project what did you use for pillars ? Boyds does not as of yet offer anything... -

Stock upgrade for Weatherby Vanguard - Hogue or Bell and Carlson?
I am wanting to ditch the Hogue on my Howa 270 as well. I have considered the ORYX by MDT, it is a chassis more than a stock and not very light, about 2# heavier but seems to be comfortable. Howa is offering them on their rifles. -
