I’ve had dang good hunts the first week and dang good hunts the 2nd week. There won’t be much difference at all from a temp standpoint. It’s Sept in southern NM...it’s still going to be warm. I had 50° swings on some days of my hunt last year.
Could anyone that is familiar with elk hunting around Kaycee PM me please? Have some questions(mostly weather and access related) that I'd like to get some info on before heading that way. Thanks!
Wow. That looks awesome. I have a friend that was working in Austraila and I tried to tell him that we needed to go hunt NZ before he left. Unfortunately, he didn't even stay a year over there...
Thanks guys. I've already got a NICE frame, so I'm not really looking for another system anytime soon, just a different bag.
But I do really like the HH Full Curls VA.
I'm currently running a Longbow and I like it so far. I'm really wanting to start pulling some overnighters and 3ish day hunts bivy/backpack style. I'm trying to decide if I should go with a Crewcab or a Metcalf. I like them both for different reasons.
I love how versatile the CC is. Looks...
Not sure what Tim error hunting is? Maybe you meant timber?
If you want to shoot specks, you listed the three of the best states to do it in...the only other state I'd consider is California.
Timber hunting, I'd look into Arkansas(duh), north LA, or east Texas.
