Wingman What you referred to is usually called primitive archery. Traditional is generally recurves and longbows made using fiberglass and laminations. As far as arrows, I shoot evrything from cedar, fiberglass, carbon and aluminum. The idea is shoot what works best for your style of shooting... -

I'm at Trad hunter from Maryland, hunted trad most of my life. Shot a compound for about four years, then gave the compound away and went back to Trad. I haven't looked back since. Best Elk Mount for a small room/low ceiling....
I have seen them done as a pedistal mount. A three ft or so post that the mount is attached to and sits on the floor, It would take up some space, but no need to have high ceilings.- Mdbowman

He has been sitting in the EXACT same tree for the last two years and has had shots all three times sitting there. I guess it is his lucky spot. You can't argue with sucess, if it works do it. And no he won't tell anyone which tree to sit in.- Mdbowman

This is a photo of a six point stag my brother shoot Monday morning at Blackwater Refugee i n Maryland. Just thought I share, it is not as big as the mulies and such shown on this sight. But it is a respectable Sika stag, dressed at 75 lbs.- Mdbowman

These little elk are great to hunt. The are an edge animal and like to move across openings like a mouse surries. I live right in the middle of the prime Sika hunting in Maryland. You can hunt the Blackwater National Refugee for a $20 archery permit bought at the visitors center over the counter...- Mdbowman
