Exit Pupil vs Field of View vs Magnification
I'm trying to decide between 10x42, 10x50 or 12x50 binoculars. It looks like the decision can be made by deciding which of the following are most important- Exit pupil, Field of View or Magnification.

Hey thanks for the replies guys. I can't really think of an advantage to the spotter other than magnification. Is 15x enough to get the idea of whether or not a buck is worth pursuing?

I have been thinking about the same thing. Sounds like a fun hunt. I have drove through the Custer NF several times and its neat country! I wish I could offer you some help but Ive never hunted it.
