CO Unit 74 for Backpacking Elk Hunt
2015 was last time I was out. cattle I think do push elk out some. I have only got 9 elk hunting tips in so new at it to. If sign is fresh stay in there even if cattle are there. rough county hard to get elk out be for they spoil so I hunt closer to roads to help that out for me. best of luck...- dreamhunter

Good area I have deer tag to not to hard to find them deer hard part is getting in farter then others to get big deer or use them to dive them to you works for me or I hunt 550 best of luck- dreamhunter

I got deer tag and elk .Lots of hunters. water yes but getting dry fast there beetle kill not much but logging in there now cattle allover in there and lions bad. elk are down in there this year and deer. hunted it 4 years got 3 elk one deer. tree stand close to roads works for me. good luck...- dreamhunter

Iowa nonresident
Point for me. drew last year hunted a small pic of public land got to Iowa on November 9th. first time I was on this ground hunt was over in 6 hours saw 9 bucks 4 doe got 10pt that scored 142. saw 5 bigger than the one I shoot I will be back in few years.- dreamhunter

Plan now for next year and go. that's what I did now. I hunt 4 or 5 states a year. Hunting in other states is way better than Michigan- dreamhunter

No Michigan Bear for me

job I wood tell u get your mmc - merchant mariner credential and twic card. hear is y 50000 plus a year and work about 200 days a year layoff in the winter. but oil u are home most nights.- dreamhunter

2014 elk hunt date problems
change jobs like I did. work 8 months layoff for 2months and 9 weeks vacation. but I take off more time for hunting. work out good for my hunting trips- dreamhunter

Colorado Elk First Timer
bow hunted #7 few times. is elk there just have to get back in farther then the rest of the hunters. hunt the wide and can find elk just have to work for it unlike deer in mi.- dreamhunter
