    hydrogen power?

Hydrogen (specifically electrolysis) is a fun space to work in, but I spend an awful lot of my time debunking stupid nonsense. On the bright side, it's surprisingly close to widespread commercial adoption. We use a staggering amount of hydrogen already.

    hydrogen power?

Doesn't work like that 1st rule of thermodynamics, there is no free lunch 2nd law of thermodynamics, you can't even break even 3rd law of thermodynamics, it'll all end in tears If you're getting energy out you had to put some energy in. Think about it this way, why can't you just catch...

    hydrogen power?

Well, he's not exactly selling snake oil, but it doesn't work like that. I stopped counting the direct falsehoods, but he clearly doesn't know how energy works, and the state of the art for hydrogen production.

    Tillamook Oregon

We're pretty fond of pacific city, pelican pub and cape Kiwanda. If you're south to Newport the aquarium and marine science center is worth a visit.

    DIY welding/crafting a Tiny Camper?

Look into "foamies." Very DIY friendly, light, reasonably strong, and cheap.

I hate mice..... I mean I want to kill every last one of them

We've had great luck with an ozone generator in the store room recently. Haven't tried it on a car yet, but any confined space should work. Basically a fogger but no chemicals to deal with afterwards. Make sure no pets or children can access. Apparently they're using CO in New York for...

From Brews to Bourbons: Drinks to Avoid.

Try a different gin, certain ones are immediately regrettable but I've had good luck with Hendricks and Fords.

    This

We've always just done room humidifiers in an a needed basis. Easier to keep clean, only use when necessary, relatively inexpensive. Really only necessary in our kids bedrooms.

Also determine what you're worth an hour. That way you have a number to compare to that new labor saving tool with. If spending 200 bucks saves you an entire weekend is totally worth it.

Pro-tip: put everything from home depot on the same credit card, buy way more than you think you'll need, and a bunch of miscellaneous things you 'might' need, and then return it all after your done with the job. It'll save a bunch of those 'just one one thing' trips.

    portland Oregon area vacation options?

Tillamook native here, all the above is good, if you've got kids I'd add the Oregon coast aquarium and Hatfield marine science Center in Newport, it's literally across the street from Rogue brewing. If you're that far south you should also check out Yaquina head for the unique pebble beach...

    Grilled Cheese

We're usually a bacon grease household but I will substitute smoked beef lard if it's available. On the cheese front Tillamook is the only variety allowed, but if you really need the processed cheese melt characteristics you can "process your own" using sodium citrate (or really any culinary...

    Moonshine still

Last I checked home distilling was still a federal crime. Unlike home brewing which is explicitly legal - for home consumption only - distilling has never been legalized without a license. It's not super well enforced, but technically could get you in trouble.

A story, an outcome, and maybe a change of direction

No offense taken. I would suggest there are two pieces to the agriculture argument, you're outsourcing the suffering, but you're also outsourcing the uncertainty and risks. Your friend is doing everything they can to kill and process their animals well but they're also doing everything they...
