We did, most of it anyway. The river was high and the road was flooded at Taylor Canyon, so we drove in and out from Schafer road. Stayed at Gooseberry and Candlestick.

There a lot of trails down there, of varying difficulty. My favorite is Kane Creek Canyon, but it has gotten harder over the years. Fins and Things is fun. Definitely hit Mini Lions back. We drove the White Rim road last year. Not hard, but scenic.
Second Canyonlands, although I like the Needles district a lot. It's a bit further south. What kind of off-roading are you doing? We spent a few spring breaks down there in college jeeping. Great fun.
I had the goal of killing an antelope in every hunt area in WY. Once my kids were old enough to hunt that goal got pushed aside as it was more important to hunt with them.
I kind of would like to experience this nonresident hunting thing everyone is always talking about on here.
