Insert Installation Tips?
Just glue them in. After they’re set you can use an arrow truing device to barely sand the end of the arrow. Usually doesn’t take much to get the right clock position. -

Who here has taken a mountain lion and what rifle or handgun did you use?
I would shoot whatever you’re comfortable with on a treed cat. It doesn’t take much to kill most cats, so smaller calibers are fine. I used a 7mm08 because it’s what I had ready to go (and because I’m a loyal HTer).- Arcola

Worst terrain possible
All of those units have rugged areas and easy access areas. However, being OTC, you won’t be alone. You’ll never out-hike a horse and there’s plenty people willing to hike as far as you are. I’ve hunted 13 miles into one of those units and saw several other hunters every day. Beautiful area though.
