Leupold BX-4 Rangefinding Binoculars

Very interesting and in depth piece from the Indy Star on "deer farming"

Excellent read SFC B. . . .yet another reason I'm not a huge fan of the deer farms. I may have posted these earlier, but oh well. I set up a camera for my best friend and we put it out and got this doe several times on camera, but never saw her during the seasons. I made several calls to the DNR and to Purdue University to see if they had been doing any tagging. . .they had not. Purdue did tell me that a farm (deer) had a barn burn down and some of the deer had escaped, but, I would have been 45 miles south of that. Not real sure. . .would like to see what the tags says though.

Seems like raising deer and elk for profit is going on just about everywhere these days. Even the states that won't let people hunt these critters still allow them to be ranched for meat which in realty is not much different. Really the only difference is the animal is slaughtered instead of hunted at the end of it's life.

There are a couple of high fence deer and elk farms near my house. Right in the middle of deer and elk country. One even told me they had mule deer at one time, said they kept getting worms so they got rid of them.
