Just got this one back from my taxidermist. My son found the owl on the highway and had the forsight to pick it up. Then a week later he found the Partridge on the road. We left them at the taxidermist and said do what you can to create a scene.

that's pretty sweet! always hesitant about people who pick road kill tho:rolleyes:

That is an awesome looking mount!

I`ve always heard that you couldn`t have one mounted because of some federal law? Any truth to that, or can you get some permit to have it done? Or did I just hear wrong?

Just noticed your location...Alberta....might be different there.

If you run across and any found dead animals or birds you can take them to local Fish and Wildlife office and they will issue a permit. I had a Swainson Hawk done back in the 80's but I'm embarrased to post pics of that one. He was hit pretty hard and the taxi did as good a job as he could concidering what he had to work with.

Way cool. I found a long earred owl that was zapped on a powerline that I so wanted to pick up, but didn't. Would've made a beautiful mount.
