Nov. 2nd I dropped this guy. About 120 yards. Shoulder shot. Dropped in his tracks. One of my quickest hunts ever. I arrived at the farm 7:45 AM, changed, walked across a 75 yard field, crossed a bobwire fence and just about to walk down a steep hill but I caught a glimpse of a deer, put the scope on him and saw another funky rack buck. The 3rd in 3 years. After the shot I looked off to the left of the smoke and saw a little white. At that moment I get a call from the land owner asking me if I got a deer and he said I'll be down there with the mule cart.
I was done @ 8:05 am.

I got a small 5 point and a doe on opening day, only saw turkeys last sat. I plan o sitting all day with the muzzloader this sat to! The rut is almost peaked here in va now!

Thank everyone, I'm back out looking for a doe. Around 6:30 AM had a tall 6 chasing one but I just enjoyed watching the chase. He was on the move! Waiting on a loner. Beautiful day in Va.

They have been getting out a bit that's for sure. Make sure Dan brings his bow back with him at Christmas. I don't think the crossbow suits him. Lol. He's is welcome to use it. Jarrod really enjoys his company and come spring we'll get to hammering some birds in Va.
great son you have raised

Im sitting in a little honey in Va waiting on deer to pop out.
