Temporary import of your gun is easy and cheap. Plenty of public land ( not at all crowded ) private land is easily accessed with a knock on the door. Kiwi hunters are keen to take a yankee under their wing, just ask.

Wow. That looks awesome. I have a friend that was working in Austraila and I tried to tell him that we needed to go hunt NZ before he left. Unfortunately, he didn't even stay a year over there...
