Does any use 06 wildcats. I have a 8mm-06, 6.5-06 AI, was wondering if any reloaded for them and used them.

I've got a couple. A 338-06 AI and a 35 Brown/Whelen ish... The 35 started life as a 9mm x 57. ran a reamer down. Have to swedge some of the harder bullets, like partitions, but most cup and core bullets are no issue.
The 35 is an FN Mauser with a B&C stock.
The 338 is a Pre-64 action with Shilen bbl, and a post 64 featherweight stock/metal.

I have only seen on 338-06 and it was on a 1903/A3 action. I like the 8mm-06 but doesn't seem to have the following

The 6.5 SAUM (also called 6.5 4S by the folks at GAP) should be it's kissing cousin. Breaks Runner, IIRC, was in on it's development. Here's a link to a company making ammo and brass.

The 6.5-06AI should run neck and neck with it as the 7 SAUM and 280AI have nearly identical case capacities.

My gunsmith is building a .280AI as we speak! I cannot wait until it is finished. It is going to be on a Winchester Model 70 Classic rifle and action. I also would really think at 6mm-06 would light my fire! Never tell I'm a 6mm fan.
I've got a 35 Whelen on a Mauser 98 Action. Excellent rifle. Shoots inside of an inch at 100 with 250 grain Hornady Round Nose bullets (now discontinued). I put a stout load of Reloader 17 behind the RN and can hit about 2650 fps. Recoil is stout, but manageable. The rifle was a gift from my father a couple of years before he passed. The bore was shot out and there was about 2 inches of free bore ahead of the chamber. Had it rebarrelled with a Douglass XX Air Gauged and the action reblued.
I've replaced the old B&L Balvar 8 w/ a Burris Signature 3x9x50 due to eye relief issues. Nice & bright and going for a walk tomorrow looking for any elk I can find and legally take.
