Moose Hunting Alaska

Mike, can you send me a copy of your pack list. You have that down so good that I could use it myself so as not to forget anything.Good luck on the bou hunt.I'd like to go back where we went another time

Scott,

I sent you two lists - the hunter-gear-only list I sent you in 2013 for your hunting and personal gear, and my consolidated 2015 gear list that includes camp gear, food, incidentals, etc.

Only about 6 months out, can't wait!

Michael

No bear fence necessary. Unless you plan on sleeping with a moose hindquarter under your sleeping bag!
I used insulated chest waders on my first moose float and couldn't wait to throw them away when I returned home..they smelled so dang bad! We have awaken to snow in the mornings and by lunch been floating down the river in our undies!
I use the thin cabelas chest waders with the built in boots now days. That way I can layer the necessary cloths under them or just put them on over my underwear. Good Luck! Floating an Alaskan river for moose is second best only to sheep hunting !
